Lake Lanier Islands Resort and its two championship golf courses are attracting an increasing number of new businesses to the City of Cumming to meet the demand for golf related supplies and services from residents and tourists. Ever since the 18-hole PineIsle golf course designed by Gary Player was opened to the public at the PineIsle Resort & Golf Club on Lake Lanier Island in 1974, the popularity of golf has grown dramatically in Cumming.
Lake Lanier Islands Resort has another 18-hole championship course at the Legacy Golf Club featuring Billy bunkers designed by Billy Fuller Golf Design and Medalist Golf of Atlanta. Both golf courses at Lake Lanier Islands Resort are renowned for their total of 21 different lakefront holes and for their spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Designed by Mike Young, the 18-hole public course at Country Land Golf Club, 6560 Mayfield Drive, (770) 887-0006, challenges golfers with 5,730 yards of play from the longest tees for a par of 70. Golf club rentals are available for beginners at Country Land Golf Club’s well stocked pro shop.
Hampton Golf Village at 6310 Hampton Golf Club Drive, (770) 205-7070, has a public 18-hole championship golf course designed by Clyde B. Johnston, ASGCA, that winds through a forest of hardwood trees past bubbling creeks, wetlands and rolling hills. Hampton Golf Village also has a pro shop and a restaurant on site, and the course features 6,905 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71.
